Progress Report / Huckster Restoration
Restoration work continues in 2nd Session at the museum
Reported last month (Jan 6th) was the beginning of a unique restoration collaborative between the Saratoga Automobile Museum, the Adirondack A’s Model A Club and Saratoga, NY area youths. The project goals were to restore a Ford Model A Huckster, frame up, with work done by Saratoga area youths. Mentoring and guidance are being provided by the Adirondack A’s Model A Club. The program is part of the Saratoga Automobile Museum’s “SAM’s Garage Youth Education Program” with actual restoration work conducted by the youths at the museum on monthly weekend sessions. A completion goal is set for the middle of May, 2010. Materials and additional program support is provided by individuals and corporate sponsors like LeBaron Bonney Co.

Hank reports that the 2nd session has been completed and was a complete success, with great progress made.
